It starts with implementing one good nutritional choice at a time, at an individualized pace. No meal plans. No supplements. No BS. No criticism or judgement. Just love, understanding and unconditional support. Let’s be realistic the generic, “you can do it!” cheerleading or “suck it up” tough attitude can make a real-life lifestyle change in nutrition seem imbalanced.
First step would be to start off with a nutrition assessment and learning about you, figure out what habits would benefit you most and we narrow it down to one for you to start on.
Next you’ll practice it every day. Your habit could be changing the number of times you eat per day, eating more or less of a certain food or food group, or it might be tuning into to your body’s hunger or fullness cues. This is your very own personalized habit. Something that you are confident in your ability to practice. This is your beginning to feeling awesome and being proud of yourself for investing in you. The goal is to not make this a HUGE habit change. Something realistic and reasonable. The goal is to not feel defeated. Unfortunately the start is what stops most because they focus on what they have to give up, rather than what they have to gain. Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must but take the step.
You and I are a team. Coaching is about relationships. Check in with me, I encourage texts and emails as much as needed. As your coach, I am here to guide you through the whole process, including handling the inevitable bumps in the road, managing emotional challenges, and identifying as well as implementing ways to increase the support from your home environment and relationships. Not only will we be working on improving your nutrition, but also growing in confidence and self-love at the same time.
